Biedermeier Cherry-Veneer and Ebonized Work Table, Early 19th Century

About the Item

Fashionable South German Biedermeier cherry-veneer and ebonized work table / sewing table. Round cherry-veneered top surrounded by ebonized ring with a hinged door to access the green silk basket enclosed with in solid cherry lattice work. The legs are solid cherry with ebonized highlights. The table is published in "Biedermeier" by Angus Wilkie on page 29.
